Buddy's Pizza Receives Outstanding Employer Award from the City of Dearborn's Commission on Disability Concerns during Dearborn Disability Awareness Day

Buddy' Pizza of Dearborn, Michigan received the distinguished Outstanding Employer Award for 2005 in a ceremony late yesterday afternoon at the Ford Community & Performing Arts Center. Sponsored by the City of Dearborn Commission on Disability Concerns, Buddy's was nominated by Services To Enhance Potential.

Our nomination recognizes Buddy’s Pizza for going above and beyond in supporting the community and its employees including individuals with disabilities.

They are…

Flexible in scheduling due to personal needs and transportation availability.
Working effectively with our staff to benefit individuals in maintaining and improving their employment.
Providing a good working environment for its employees, e.g., their own orientation and training which is a better model than job coaching because it helps ensure integration for the individual.
Providing immediate resolutions to employee problems/concerns. They are quick to deal with any possible discrimination or derogatory actions.
Involved in a variety of philanthropic activities.
A strong advocate for customers to get involved in activities that builds up the community.
