SERVICES TO ENHANCE POTENTIAL RECEIVES VOLUNTEER AWARD FROM THE
CITY OF LIVONIA
April 30, 2004
Services To Enhance Potential, Northwest Resource Center, was honored
at Laurel Park Manor on April 21, 2004 for volunteer contributions
in the city of Livonia. Mayor Jack Engebretson, along with many
state and county dignitaries, presented awards of recognition to
James Grice, President/CEO at Livonia 's 30th Annual Volunteer Day
Breakfast.
Eleven consumers along with staff, attended the event representing
the many individuals who volunteer on a regular basis out of the
Northwest Resource Center. Volunteer partnerships in Livonia include:
Meals on Wheels, Greenmead Historical Park, Focus: Hope for Seniors,
Mother Hubbard Nursery School and area churches. A total of 18 volunteer
partnerships have been successfully established in area communities
for the mutual benefit of the host sites and the volunteers.
